Terms of Service

Short, in plain language. Last updated April 15, 2026.

1. Agreement

TL;DR — Use Snipiq, agree to these terms. Don't agree, don't use it.

By creating a Snipiq account, you agree to these Terms of Service. Snipiq is operated by Snipiq Inc. and available at snipiq.ca.

2. Definitions

TL;DR — Who's who in this document.

"Snipiq" means the platform operated by Snipiq Inc.

"Pro" means any independent professional registered on Snipiq.

"Client" means any person who books through a Pro's public page.

"Deposit" means the amount paid online by the client at the time of booking.

3. Your Account

TL;DR — You're 18+, run a real business, you keep your password safe.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to operate a business. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date. The 14-day free trial doesn't require a credit card. You're responsible for the security of your login credentials.

4. Subscription and Pricing

TL;DR — $29 USD/month. Cancel anytime from settings. No refunds for the current month.

The Solo plan is $29 USD per month, billed automatically via Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Platform Fee

TL;DR — We take 1% of each deposit. Stripe takes their own 2.9% + $0.30 separately.

Snipiq charges a platform fee of 1% USD on each deposit collected through Stripe Connect. This fee is deducted automatically from the amount transferred to the Pro. Stripe processing fees (2.9% + $0.30) are separate and paid by the Pro directly to Stripe, per industry standard.

6. Deposits and Payments

TL;DR — Deposits go to your bank via Stripe. No-show? You keep the deposit. Pro cancels? Our fee is refunded, Stripe fees are not.

Deposits paid by clients are processed by Stripe and transferred to the Pro per Stripe's standard payout schedule (2 to 7 business days). In case of a no-show, the Pro keeps the deposit. If the Pro cancels, the Snipiq platform fee is refunded to the Pro. Stripe processing fees are non-refundable.

7. Your Obligations as a Pro

TL;DR — Honor bookings. Keep availability current. Handle bookings professionally. Pay your taxes.

As a Pro, you agree to: honor bookings made by clients, keep your availability up to date, handle bookings professionally, and comply with all applicable laws including tax obligations in your jurisdiction.

8. Client Obligations

TL;DR — Show up on time. Give accurate info when booking. Respect the Pro's cancellation policy.

Clients agree to: show up on time for their appointments, provide accurate information when booking, and respect the Pro's cancellation policy.

9. Your Data, Your Rights

TL;DR — Your client list, your bookings, your content — all yours. Export anytime.

The Pro retains all rights to their content (photos, bio, service descriptions, client list, booking history). You can export everything from your Settings page at any time. Snipiq's platform (text, design, code, logo) is protected by copyright. By posting content on Snipiq, the Pro grants a non-exclusive license to display this content on the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

TL;DR — We're the booking infrastructure. We don't guarantee what happens at the appointment. Our max liability = last 12 months of fees you paid us.

Snipiq is a technology intermediary between Pros and their clients. Snipiq does not guarantee the quality of services rendered by Pros. Snipiq is not responsible for disputes between a Pro and their clients. Snipiq's total liability is limited to the amount of fees paid by the Pro in the last 12 months.

11. Cancelling Your Account

TL;DR — Delete anytime from Settings. Future bookings are cancelled. Your data is removed per our Privacy Policy.

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. Deletion cancels all future bookings and notifies affected clients. Personal data is deleted per our Privacy Policy. Snipiq reserves the right to suspend or delete an account for violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law

TL;DR — Quebec law, Montreal courts.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the judicial district of Montreal.

13. Changes to These Terms

TL;DR — We may update. We'll email you 30 days before changes take effect.

Snipiq reserves the right to modify these terms. Changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after that period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
