1. Quick intro

TL;DR — We collect what we need to run bookings. We don't sell your data. Ever.

Snipiq Inc. ("we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of users of snipiq.ca. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Quebec's Law 25, and applicable data protection laws.

2. What we collect

TL;DR — Pro: name, contact, bank info (Stripe), business content. Client: name, phone, email, booking history.

Pros: name, email, phone, business address, city, profession, profile photo, banking info (via Stripe), published content (bio, portfolio photos).

Clients: name, phone, email (optional), booking history, service preferences.

Technical: IP address, browser type, pages visited, session duration.

3. How we use it

TL;DR — Bookings, reminders, review requests, platform security. Nothing else.

We use your information to: enable online booking and payment processing, send transactional communications (confirmations, SMS reminders, review requests), improve the platform and user experience, secure accounts and prevent fraud.

4. Who we share with

TL;DR — Only the providers that make the product work. Stripe, Twilio, Resend, Vercel, Supabase. No ad networks. No sold data.

We never sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform:

— Stripe (payment processing) — stripe.com/privacy

— Twilio (SMS) — twilio.com/legal/privacy

— Resend (email) — resend.com/legal/privacy-policy

— Vercel (hosting) — vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

— Supabase (database) — supabase.com/privacy

Each provider has its own privacy policy and processes data in accordance with applicable laws.

5. How long we keep it

TL;DR — As long as your account is active. 30 days after you delete. 6 years for billing (legal tax obligation).

Pro data is retained as long as the account is active. After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Billing data is retained per applicable tax obligations (minimum 6 years). Client data is retained as long as an active Pro is associated with it.

6. Your rights

TL;DR — Access, correct, delete, withdraw consent. Email us, we do it.

You have the right to: access your personal information, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent to data processing, file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. If you're in California (CCPA)

TL;DR — Same rights. We don't sell info. Non-discrimination if you exercise them.

California residents have the right to: know what personal information is collected, delete personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. To exercise: support@snipiq.ca.

8. Cookies

TL;DR — Essential only (auth, session). No ad trackers.

Snipiq uses cookies essential to platform functionality (authentication, session preferences). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers.

9. Security

TL;DR — HTTPS encryption, secure auth, PCI DSS Stripe, restricted access.

We implement security measures to protect your information: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, PCI DSS compliant payment processing via Stripe, restricted data access for authorized personnel.

10. Where data lives

TL;DR — Servers mostly in the US via our providers. We follow applicable transfer laws.

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your jurisdiction (primarily the United States, via our service providers). We ensure these transfers are made in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

11. Changes

TL;DR — We may update. We email you if it's significant.

We may update this policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by email. The last update date is shown at the top of this page.
